Japanese-Canadian Grammy® Award flutist Ron Korb has travelled around the world collecting bamboo and various indigenous world flutes. He is a 2025 Grammy Nominee in Best Global Music Performance for the song “Kashira” by Masa Takumi and Best New Age Album for “Break of Dawn” by Ricky Kej. He has developed a distinctive musical persona, fluidly blending Pan-Asian, Jazz, Celtic and Latin influences acquired through a lifetime of global exploration. He has earned 5 Grammy certificates with 2 of them earned last year (2023) for his work on Stewart Copeland (The Police) and Ricky Kej’s Grammy-winning album Divine Tides and Masa Takumi’s Grammy winning album for Best Global Music Album.
